CheckApp; a multipurpose Telemedicine System for E Check-ups and Face-To-Face Consultation

We have developed a telemedicine system that holds immense importance and brings significant benefits to the healthcare landscape, particularly in the current state of the Philippines amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With a completion rate of 95%, our system addresses the pressing need for efficient appointment management and streamlined workflow processes in local clinics. By integrating features and developing CheckApp, along with dedicated portals for clinics, patients, and doctors, our system provides a comprehensive solution.

During the evaluation phase, we selected five respondents from various roles, including Quality Assurance, Clinic/Doctor, IT Professional, Juvenile Patient, and Adult Patient. Their feedback, measured using the SUS testing tool, indicated a high level of satisfaction and usability. The Quality Assurance and Juvenile Patient respondents scored our system at 77.5, highlighting its effectiveness in meeting their needs. The IT Professional scored it even higher at 85, emphasizing the system's technical competence. Although the Adult Patient and Clinic/Doctor respondents scored it slightly lower at 70 and 72.5, respectively, the overall weighted average of 76.5 points demonstrates the acceptability and feasibility of our system for deployment.

The importance of our telemedicine system cannot be overstated. In a time when traditional approaches to healthcare delivery face challenges, our system enables clinics to adapt and thrive in the new normal. By providing a seamless workflow process, it effectively organizes clinic, patient, and doctor schedules while complying with the minimum health and safety protocols mandated by the government. This aspect is crucial in combating the spread of COVID-19 and ensuring the well-being of both healthcare providers and patients.

Furthermore, our system's significance extends beyond the pandemic. It optimizes the use of technology to enhance healthcare accessibility, convenience, and efficiency. Patients, especially those in remote areas or with mobility constraints, can benefit from remote consultations, reducing the need for unnecessary travel and potential exposure to infectious diseases. Additionally, doctors can manage their appointments more effectively, leading to improved patient care and overall clinic operations.
